MANAH: A GIFT OF GOD
by Dr. Soumyen Bandyopadhyay, University of Liverpool, UK, in association with The British Council Oman and The Historical Association of Oman. This exhibition featured architectural details of this Manah’s deserted historic settlement.

DOORS OF ZANZIBAR: REMINISCING OMANI HISTORY
by Mr. Uwe Rau in association with the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany and The Historical Association of Oman. This was a photographic documentation of doors in Stone Town.

OASIS SETTLEMENTS IN OMAN
by Sultan Qaboos University in association with German universities. A multi-disciplinary study of oasis settlements.

CELEBRATING OMAN’S ENVIRONMENT — OMAN, MY BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY
by His Excellency Mohammad Al Zubair, the founder of Bait Al Zubair. A photographic documentation illuminating Oman’s diverse and beautiful landscape and publication of the book of the same name.

THE MARIA THERESA TALER AND OMAN, THE STORY OF AN AUSTRIAN COIN IN ARABIA
presented by the Austrian Mint and Bait Al Zubair in conjunction with the Austrian Embassy in Oman. An exhibition dedicated to the Maria Theresa Taler, which was first minted in the mid-18th century and is doubtless the most famous and widely spread silver coin in the world.

'ISLAMIC ART IN THE CALOUSTE GULBENKIAN COLLECTION'
presented by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and the Ministry of Heritage and Culture in celebration of Muscat as the Cultural Capital of the Arab World 2006.

by the Sayyida Salme Institute, UK, and the Brunei Gallery, School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. A fascinating look at the life and writings of a 19th-century Omani Princess.
